Using the App
When you open the app the first time, the first thing you’ll do is create an account with a user name and password. Be sure to use the name and email your friends, coach, or students would use to connect with you. If you’d like to be available to connect with others and allow others to connect with you, be sure to enable those settings (slide to green).
Click to register and you’ll receive an email confirmation. Click that to access the website, where you’ll log in using the same credentials. This is the online dashboard, where you’ll be able to set preferences and access a deeper level of reporting on your conditioning work.
The electrode set comes with two rubber connectors. One is generally large enough for most girths. Be sure to tighten the girth to keep the electrodes from slipping. Too much movement of the electrodes can cause unwanted heart-rate variations. The wires can be pushed under the saddle, between the saddle and saddle pad, or they can be left untucked. See a video demo.
Worktypes are filters that enable you to see trends within specific types of rides (for example, trot sets versus jump schools). At least one needs to be established before running your first session. From the Stable menu, define your most common Worktypes and save.
To simplify viewing and analysis by Worktype, you can color-code your established Worktypes on the website. To do so, sign in to the website and go to Profile, then Worktype Tags on the second level of navigation. It is not necessary to set up these tags before running a session.
Click Session on the bottom navigation, then New Session. Use the menus to specify the Horse, Location, and Worktype. Then just hit the green “Start Session” button. You’ll see a GPS dot confirming your location. Once your session has started, swipe left to see a running counter of the session.
On the app, go to Session along the bottom navigation, then click on Session History. You’ll see a list of all sessions. Click on the session you’d like to view to see summary data.
To see the full session data, including the Premium map and heart-rate graphs, log on to the website above and select Sessions from the menu. KER ClockIt Sport is launching with complimentary Premium access for all users. Sign up to continue Premium access after this promotional period ends.
Helpful for event preparation and those riding several horses, create a Work Plan to get a quick look at your upcoming ride schedule on your Session calendar.
To create a Work Plan, sign in to the website and go to your calendar on the Session tab. Enter the date, horse and worktype of the planned ride on the right side. Click “submit” and your planned work will display on the calendar in addition to saved sessions.
